How do I find the right part for my General Wire machine?

What is the difference between an item number and a catalog number?
Every row on a General parts list has a six-digit item number (like 167870) and a catalog number (like MR-250) that also appears on the diagram. Either one identifies the part, and our part number lookup searches both.
Do General Wire and General Pipe Cleaners parts fit the same machines?
Yes. General Pipe Cleaners is a division of General Wire Spring Company, so General Wire and General Pipe Cleaners part numbers are the same parts.
What does Verified fit mean?
Verified fit means General lists that exact catalog number on your machine’s parts list. Parts that depend on a serial range, motor, drum or cable size are marked Configuration required, so check your machine first.
