The pattern
Take KS8048ML. KS is the product line prefix, 804 is the series (the faucet body), 8 is the finish, and ML is the handle style. KS8041ML, KS8047ML and KS8048ML are the same faucet in three finishes, and they share one parts diagram.
Finish digits
Across our Kingston catalog, the digit after the series almost always means the same finish:

The letters at the end name the handle and trim style, such as AL, AX, BL, BX, PL or ML. Two faucets with the same series but different letters have different handles, so include the letters when you order handles or ask about parts.
Handles follow the faucet number
